RE: Texas Winter Storm
Residents, Families and Partners:
We know you are all aware of the unprecedented winter weather conditions we are experiencing right now in Texas. Our facilities are faced with many of the same concerns as others in Texas – rolling power outages, freezing pipes and delayed vendor deliveries.
We wanted to let you know the actions we are taking at Lakeshore to protect our residents. We have had some of our pipes freeze and burst and delayed vendor deliveries.
As a result, we have taken the following actions:
- We are currently not experiencing any power outages, but if that happens we will immediately reach out to families to give them the option of picking up their loved ones. If that is not an option we plan to relocate residents to Broadmoor Medical Lodge, which is served by generators.
- While food and supply deliveries have been delayed, we have determined we have adequate food, water and medical supply inventory to address resident needs for at least the next week and have obtained any needed items for the facility. We are working with our vendors to ensure we get new supplies as soon as the roads clear.
- We currently have adequate staffing to care for all residents in the Community.
We will update you should any other changes occur. For more immediate updates, you can call 469-338-0204. If our staff is unable to answer the phone, a voicemail can be left and will be returned as soon as possible.
Given our need to address the current emergency, staff may not be immediately available to return your phone calls, texts or emails. We will contact you as soon as we are able, and we thank you for your patience as we work through these very cold days until the extreme temperatures improve this weekend. If you have an emergency situation and need to contact someone immediately, please call/text Lisa Lieck at 469-338-3875. Please indicate the nature of the emergency so we can prioritize your call.
